Commonly Used Kitchen Ware and equipment

Practice and knowledge of kitchen equipment is advantage and essential for the success of business and operations in the kitchen. As technology evolves into a higher level, companies develop a more advance kitchen equipment to simplify and to speed up work in the kitchen which will make a better quality of service and also reduce burden for chefs and kitchen brigade.

Ovens

  1. deck ovens

  3. convection oven

  4. Contain fans that circulate the air and distribute the heat rapidly throughout the interior. Because of the forced air, foods cook more quickly at lower temperatures. Image is courtesy of Classic Party Rentals.
  5. combination steamer oven

  6. Combi oven can perform three functions: convection oven, convection steamer and both functions at the same time. Applying moisture into an oven while roasting meats can help reduce shrinkage and drying. Image below is courtesy of Blodgett.
  7. wood burning ovens

  8. Can be called Pugon in the Philippines. Were made of heavy bricks or clay and heated by building a wood fire inside it. Commonly used in making bread and pizza. Image below is courtesy of OzarkDreams.com.
  9. microwave oven

  10. Creates a microwave radiation which produce heat inside the food. Can be seen in homes.
